Helps Employers
create respectful workplaces

EEOC and Diversity Training helps employers create respectful workplaces that promote growth and equality. When addressing diversity in the workplace, I offer two trainings. “Leading for Respect” is a meaningful training for supervisors and those in leadership roles. In comparison, “Respect in the Workplace” for employees—covers such topics as dealing with civility, acceptable workplace conduct, and behaviors that contribute to an inclusive workplace.

Pivot Learning Solutions is now offering these trainings virtually and online for your team. Contact me today to find out more.

Workplace harassment

In recent years workplace harassment has become a persistent problem. Harassment goes unreported too often for a variety of reasons. That’s where Pivot Learning Solutions can help.

While there is a business cost to workplace harassment—last year, the EEOC recovered $164.5 million for workers alleging harassment—it also contributes to decreased productivity and increased turnover. With my training, I aim to eliminate harassment, and as a result, increase productivity and retention.

EEOC and Diversity Training is most effective when tailored to the specific workforce and workplace, and to different cohorts of employees. When trained correctly, middle managers, supervisors, and those who work in leadership roles are the most valuable resource in preventing and stopping harassment. Leading by example can go a long way in diversity training.

Engagement

Research shows that engagement is the key factor that promotes higher performance. Besides performance, we’ve seen more effort, greater returns, and lower turnover. It is extremely important that employees are respectful of each other differences. EEOC training allows the organization to explore the components of successful engagement initiatives and identify strategies for creating stronger engagement in teams.

Workplace incivility

Research shows that workplace incivility often acts as a ‘gateway issue’ to workplace harassment. Through training, employees are given tools that help to enhance the specific skills they need to act respectfully and to intervene when they observe disrespectful or abusive behavior.

The management of diversity and inclusion has evolved from a focus on compliance to a strategic-level effort with a demonstrated positive impact on an organization’s performance. In the current business climate, companies that strive for both diversity and inclusion are achieving intended business results. They provide proof that diversity and inclusion are much more than a legal or moral requirement; they’re also a competitive advantage.
